Thank you so much for helping the homeless animals of Lincoln County NC with your generous gift.

Some areas of special requests for donations include an Emergency Medical Fund to help animals who are sick and injured get the treatment they need. The TNR fund will help us manage the feral or community cat population through purchasing traps and assisting colony caregivers with the cost of spaying/neutering and vaccinating cats. Through donations to our Spay/Neuter fund, we will be able to host low cost/high volume Spay Neuter clinics, as well as assist pet owners with the costs of spay/neuter when needed.

To use your credit card or PayPal, click one of the “donate” buttons to the right and follow the simple instructions.

You can donate as much as you’d like in any amount, and you can choose to make a monthly contribution if you’d like. Every dollar counts and every dollar donated goes directly to the programs helping the animals. HATS is an all-volunteer organization.

We use PayPal services to accept donations, however you do NOT need a PayPal account to use a credit card to donate. A receipt will be emailed to you.

If you prefer to mail a check, please make your check payable to:

Your generosity is greatly appreciated and very needed as we work toward giving every animal a chance in Lincoln County and the surrounding area.

Emergency Medical Fund

HATS often helps rescues and shelter animals with medical expenses for extraordinary situations. These donations insure that every animal has a chance with proper medical care and treatment.

Barn Cat Program

Our barn cat program pulls feral and semi feral cats exclusively from LCAS to place as working cats on farms and businesses. We need donations to help with vet costs to get cats ready for their new lives.

In Memory

What better way to honor the memory of a loved one than with a donation? Include the person's name and details in the notes section if you want a personalized card sent to let them know about your generous gift.

General Fund

Not sure where your donation is most needed? Contribute to the general fund and we will appropriate the money where it is needed most at the time.

HATS and the rescue world lost a great man on September 30, 2018. Jim Kirby was a kind, compassionate, dedicated volunteer. He loved all animals, but he had a special place for the misunderstood ones. You could always find him in the shelter, holding and comforting the scared ones. He was a staple at our Saturday adoption events and always had a foster or two at his home. In honor of Jim, we ask that you dedicate a portion of your time to volunteering, because that was what was near and dear to his heart. If you are in the Lincoln County area and would like to volunteer with HATS, please fill out the form indicating your area of interest and our volunteer coordinators will reach out to connect you with the right team. If you do not live near enough to volunteer with HATS, please find an animal shelter or rescue near you where you can give one or two hours of your time. We ask that you please take photos and share them and your story on your social media pages with the hashtag #IdiditforJim so that his family can see the lasting impact Jim still has on the animal community.
